Karachi Bar Association (KBA) demanded the National Highway Authority (NHA) to exempt lawyers from toll tax, reported on Thursday. According to the report, Karachi Bar has issued a letter to the chairman of the NHA and requested to issue a directive in this regard.
In the letter, the Karachi Bar Association said that all lawyers should be exempted from toll tax on the national highways and instructions should be issued to the staff of all toll plazas, especially Karachi and Hyderabad. The Karachi Bar Association further said in the letter that toll tax should not be charged to lawyers on showing the card of the Bar Councils and Bar Associations.
