Ameer Jamat-e-Islami Karachi Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman, has demanded the annulment of Karachi’s election results, citing widespread electoral fraud, fake results, and manipulation of mandates.

In a press conference held on Thursday, he announced that the party will observe a “Black Day” across the city on Friday, February 16th, protesting against the worst electoral malpractice, incompetence of the Election Commission, and failure to conduct transparent and fair elections.

Expressing concerns over the deteriorating political situation in Karachi, Hafiz Naeem stated that allowing a party with a track record of terrorism, extortion, and divisive politics back into power would not only be detrimental to Karachi but also antagonistic to democracy, public opinion, and constitutional and legal norms.

He emphasized that the people have unequivocally rejected those individuals whom they have expelled from their homes, and imposing them forcibly would not be tolerated. Referring to the controversial Intermediate examination results, Hafiz Naeem highlighted the findings of the committee formed by the Chief Minister, which revealed incidents of misconduct against Karachi’s students. He reiterated the party’s stance to stand with the affected students and demanded the cancellation of the disputed results.

He stressed the importance of transparency in the examination process and called for reforms to ensure fairness and equality for all students. Hafiz Naeem emphasized that the discrepancies in the exam papers, differing from those of other boards despite having the same syllabus, need to be addressed.

He criticized the lack of transparency in the examination checking process, citing instances where papers were graded arbitrarily at home, and called out the involvement of corrupt and incompetent officials from the Sindh government, education ministry, and the board.

The party demanded the immediate removal of all incompetent and corrupt officials involved in the malpractice and urged for legal action against them.
