Rain with snowfall over the hills is predicted in the upper parts of Pakistan on Monday night and Tuesday with occasional gaps.
According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), a westerly wave prevails over the northern parts of Pakistan.
Under these conditions, cold and dry weather is predicted in the Twin Cities and most parts of the country on Monday night and Tuesday. Freezing weather is predicted in the hilly areas.
Cloudy weather accompanied by light rain and snowfall is predicted in upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Gilgit-Baltistan. Moderate to dense fog will continue to prevail over plain areas of Punjab and upper Sindh during the night and morning.
Islamabad’s minimum temperature will likely remain between 05°C and 07°C on Tuesday, between 06°C and 08°C on Wednesday, and between 07°C and 09°C on Thursday.
Rawalpindi’s minimum temperature will likely remain between 07°C and 09°C on Tuesday, between 08°C and 10°C on Wednesday, and between 09°C and 11°C on Thursday.
Meanwhile, cold and dry weather prevailed over most parts of the country, while very cold/partly cloudy in hilly areas during the last 24 hours. However, light rain with snowfall occurred at isolated places in upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Moderate fog prevailed over a few districts of Punjab, upper Sindh and the plains of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Leh remained the coldest place in the country, where the temperature dropped 08°C below the freezing point. Minimum temperature in Gupis was recorded at -06°C, in Skardu at -05°C, and in Bagrote, Parachinar and Quetta at -04°C.
In Islamabad, the minimum temperature was recorded at 06°C. Relative humidity in the evening was recorded at 52 per cent.
In Rawalpindi, the minimum temperature was recorded at 08°C. Relative humidity in the evening was recorded at 40 per cent.
