ISLAMABAD – Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO) announced temporary power shutdown schedule for October 6 and 7, 2026, affecting several areas across Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Attock, Jhelum and Chakwal.
According to IESCO, scheduled outages are necessary to facilitate ongoing development projects being carried out by the district administrations. The work includes the relocation of electricity poles and other installations, construction of new flyovers and underpasses, development of 11kV feeders and road expansion projects.
October 6 Load Shedding
In Islamabad Circle, electricity supply will remain suspended from 8 a.m. to 12 noon in areas connected to the Service Road, Sohan, Highway, Zia Masjid and Iqbal Town feeders.

In the Rawalpindi Cantt Circle, the Kalyal, Shahpur, Adiala, Khasala, Hamyun-I, Dhok Noor, Gulshanabad, Rose Lane, Adiala Jail, Sheghan, Defence Road, Askari 14, PGHS and Summer Zaar feeders will remain affected from 8 a.m. to 12 noon.
Fazaia feeder in the Rawalpindi City Circle will also be affected during the same four-hour period.
Attock
In the Attock Circle, power supply will be temporarily suspended from 8 a.m. to 12 noon in areas served by the Pind Pariyan, Multi Gardens B-17, Cabinet Division, Sarai Kharbooza, Valley, Sangjani, Shah Allah Ditta, Gulshan-e-Sehat, Paswal, AWT-1 and AWT-4 feeders.
Jhelum
In the Jhelum Circle, the Ward No. 08, Hayat Seer Road, Gujar Khan City, Scheme-I, Matwa, Kinger, Kantoreela, Mandra, New Mandra, Hameed Jhangi and LTC feeders will also face outages from 8 a.m. to 12 noon.
October 7 Shutdowns
On October 7, the outage schedule will continue in several areas.
In the Rawalpindi City Circle, the AFOSH feeder will remain affected from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m.
In the Attock Circle, electricity supply will be suspended from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the Lala Zar, Hussainabad and Colonel Sher Khan feeders.
In the Chakwal Circle, the Mureed, Al-Qaim Mills, Bhoun, Karyala and KSM Unit 3 feeders, along with their adjoining areas, will also experience a temporary interruption in electricity supply from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m.
IESCO said the temporary shutdowns are being carried out to support the timely completion of ongoing development projects and related infrastructure work.
The company has advised consumers in the affected areas to plan their activities accordingly and cooperate with the scheduled maintenance and development work.
