Minister for Information and Broadcasting Marriyum Aurangzeb on Saturday said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chairman Imran Khan is only committed to ruin country’s economy.
In response to Imran Khan’s tweet, she said why Imran Khan stopped the local body elections even being in power. The Minister questioned PTI’s commitment to hold elections in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. She also criticized PTI for its fake commitment to provide ten million jobs and five million houses to public. She said that the foreign agent and Tosha Khana thief was running away from the elections.
The minister said that Imran Khan was thrown out of power by exercise of the democratic right of a no-confidence vote. Despite remaining in power for over three years, why Imran did not hold the local body elections, she asked.
Castigating Imran, she said that the PTI was “committed” to conducting elections in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, what happened to that commitment? What happened to the commitment to give one million jobs and building five million housing units, she said while taking a jibe on PTI leadership.
She said that Imran was only “committed” to loot and plunder, telling lies and fraud. She said Imran’s “commitment” was only to get foreign funding, steal the Tosha Khana gifts, and bankrupt Pakistan’s economy.
Marriyum said that the “commitment” of Imran was only to plunge the country into historic debt and push the people into unprecedented inflation. She said Imran’s “commitment” was only to make a compromise over Kashmir and sell national interests.
Earlier, in a tweet uploaded on Saturday, PTI Chairman and former prime minister Imran Khan has said that the Election Commission of Pakistan has once against demonstrated that it was the B-Team of the “imported” government and its backers.
Imran Khan said by not implementing the IHC order to hold local government elections the ECP again showed its bias.
The PTI chairman said the PDM is fearful of the people and that is why it is running away from all elections. “Right to vote is a fundamental democratic norm and the PTI stands committed to it,” he added.
In reaction, Federal Information Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb branded the PTI chief “a foreign agent”, who is regretful for not fulfilling “commitment” to bankrupt Pakistan.
The minister said it was the Toshkhana thief who was running away from elections. “Why Imran Khan blocked LG elections despite being in power for many years. The PTI had made a commitment to hold elections in Punjab and KP,” she asked.
