Illegal constructions in RCB areas


Rawalpindi—Rawalpindi Cantonment Board (RCB) has issued 80 notices to the building rules violators and confiscated three truckload goods and 23 handcarts from different markets in its operation against encroachments.
The anti-encroachment operation on the special instruction of Cantonment Executive Officer (CEO) Dr. Saima Shah has been intensified.
According to Rawalpindi Cantonment Board (RCB) spokesman Qasir Mahmood, the grand clean-up operation against encroachments was underway in RCB areas while now it has further been accelerated and the operation is being conducted on daily basis.
He said, encroachments have been removed today from different markets of Misrial Road, Chungi No 22, Bank Road and other areas of Saddar Bazar. Illegal banners and posters were also removed from different areas.
Meanwhile, Rawalpindi Cantonment Board (RCB) Land Branch taking strict action against illegal constructions has issued 80 notices to the building rules violators in Naseerabad, Awan Town, Qasimabad, Saddar, Quaid-e-Azam Colony, Chamanabad, Marble Factory Area, Dhoke Mustakeem, Allahabad and Dhoke Banaras.
The enforcement team sealed a hospital constructed illegally at Peshawar Road and also demolished shutters of four shops and illegally constructed walls of Hira Public School.
The citizens should not violate the rules otherwise stern action would be taken against the violators and no relaxation would be given to anyone, he added.—APP
