A court in Jammu has issued the production orders of illegally detained Hurriyat leader, Muhammad Rafiq Nannaji, in an over three decades old false case.

Indian police had arrested Muhammad Rafiq Nannaji along with several other Hurriyat leaders including Masroor Abbas Ansari, Shabbir Ahmed Dar, Syed Rehman Shamas, Firdous Ahmed Shah, Sajjad Gul, Jahangir Ghani Butt, Syed Muzaffar Rizvi, Hilal Ahmad War, Wajahat Qureshi and Muhammad Yasin Butt after raiding a hotel in Srinagar on Sunday. They had gathered there for an Eid Milan party.

The special TADA court Jammu, today, de-ferred the hearing in a case related to the killing of four Indian Air Force (IAF) officials in 1990 after it was told that Muhammad Rafiq Nannaji was in police remand. The court issued warrants for the presence of Nannaji and fixed next hearing on August 19.—KMS
