DUBAI – International Cricket Council (ICC) Board meeting is likely to decide fate of upcoming Champions Trophy 2025 on Friday (today).  The latest reports suggest that the decision would be made whether the champions trophy would be played in Pakistan or not.

Pakistan Cricket Board Chairman Mohsin Naqvi has been there in Dubai since yesterday.

According to the sources, Naqvi would represent Pakistan in the ICC board meeting via video link from there. The board meeting was summoned for Nov 29 (today) and all the members were asked for online appearance via video link.

Pakistan had earlier asked the ICC to provide acceptable formula for the upcoming champions trophy before the board meeting and had cleared conveyed its message before the international body.

Mohsin Naqvi said that they would bear the wound but would never compromise on their honor and respect.

“PCB has already completed its arrangements for the Champions Trophy 2025,” said Mohsin Naqvi while talking to the reporters on Thursday.

The ICC could not release the schedule for the champions trophy so far just because of stubbornness of India. The broadcasters are also worried, because they fear a loss of millions of rupees.
