Honda CD 70 and other models are widely used by working class, but these two wheelers have become expensive after fresh round of price hikes by Atlas Honda Limited. The company raised prices by Rs2,000 to Rs6,000 per unit, with effect from July 1, 2025.
With latest price revision, Honda CD 70 moved further out of reach for many low-income consumers already struggling with inflation. Industry insiders link the price hike to a newly introduced 1% Carbon Levy on imported motorcycle engines, a measure announced in the federal budget for FY2025-26.
