In an order passed on 21 February 22, against complaint filed against Healthcare Devices Association of Pakistan (HDAP) for committing irregularities and overriding election rules; during annual election conducted in September 2021.
In this regard, the Director General Trade Organization (DGTO) constituted a Committee, on receipt of complaint from the aggrieved candidates, to conduct an impartial inquiry, comprising of senior members of his department.
The inquiry Committee finalized their report after detailed scrutiny of HDAP’s Election record and pointed out various irregularities and non-compliance of rules and procedures and imposed a fine.
On HDAP, through the order, further investigation has been undertaken; especially the accounts and records of members have been called. Since, a conviction is made through fine, the disqualification of people may be considered, sources said.
