PAKPATTAN – Official rates for bricks and sand have been fixed in Punjab city of Pakpattan in order to ensure the relief to citizens who are planning to build their houses and those are involved in construction business.
An official stated that the decision has been taken in line with the directives of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif. He added that strict monitoring is being conducted to ensure the availability of sand and bricks at government-approved prices in the district.
He emphasized that action is being taken without discrimination against those who exceed government rates. Price control magistrates, the Para Force, and Consumer Protection Council inspectors are actively monitoring the field to ensure that the prices of construction materials remain within the set limits.
Latest Brick Rates in January 2026
The deputy commissioner has fixed the rate for A class brick at Rs12,000 per 1000 pieces whiel it is Rs9,000 for B class bricks.
Sand Rates in January 2026
The price for sand has been fixed at Rs5,000 per 100 cubic feet while gravel costs Rs3,400.
He further stated that any overcharging above these prices will not be tolerated, and strict legal action will be taken against individuals involved in exploiting the public.
