Gold prices in Pakistan witnessed a sharp rise on Tuesday, reflecting a strong upward trend in international markets. According to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price of gold per tola increased by Rs6,600 to settle at Rs356,800 in the local market.
Similarly, the price of 10 grams of gold rose by Rs5,658, reaching Rs305,898. The latest increase comes just a day after a more modest gain of Rs800 pushed gold prices to Rs350,200 on Monday.
The local surge aligns with a global rally in precious metals. International gold prices climbed by $66, reaching $3,348 per ounce, which includes a premium of $20. Analysts attribute the spike to ongoing economic uncertainties and increased demand for safe-haven assets.
