Gold Rates in Pakistan Today, 7 July 2025

KARACHI – Gold prices in Pakistan dropped as the commodity remained under pressure  in international market on Wednesday, July 16, 2025.

According to the Saraffa Association, the price of 24-karat gold per tola decreased by Rs700 to settle at 359,000 while the rate for 10 grams stood at Rs307,784.

Gold, a precious commodity, has held immense significance throughout history, symbolizing wealth, power, and prestige. Prized for its rarity, durability, and natural beauty, gold has been used in jewelry, currency, and religious artifacts across cultures. Economically, it serves as a hedge against inflation and is considered a safe-haven asset during financial instability.

Meanwhile, the silver rates also recorded a decrease  as one tola priced at Rs4,015 after a decline of Rs74 while the 10-gram is being traded at Rs3,441.

Market experts attribute the ongoing volatility to uncertain trends in global bullion trading and the fluctuating value of the Pakistani rupee against the US dollar.
