ISLAMABAD – Gold prices in Pakistan registered a significant recovery on Friday after witnessing a dip in previous sessions.

According to sarafa association, price of per tola gold moved up by Rs3,400, taking the new rate to Rs469,562. The price of 10-gram gold surged by Rs2,915 with new rate setting at Rs402,573 in Pakistan.

The bullish trend in Pakistani market comes amid rising rates in global market where per ounce price soared by $34 to $4,472.

Meanwhile, silver prices in Pakistan also recorded upward trend with per tola rate soared by Rs70 to Rs8,195 while the 10-gram price stands at Rs7,025 after an increase of Rs60.

A day earlier, gold prices declined in the local market as the price of gold per tola fell by Rs600 to settle at Rs466,162, while the price of 10 grams of gold dropped by Rs515 to Rs399,658.

On the other hand, the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) experienced mixed trading activity on Friday as investors adopted a cautious approach on the final day of the business week.

The index stood at 185,594, marking a modest increase of 51points. This suggests that market participants are taking a wait-and-see stance, holding off on major decisions as the weekend approaches.

During the session, the market fluctuated between a high of 186,180.32 points and a low of 184,987.26 points, reflecting a divided sentiment among investors.

The previous close was recorded at 185,543.01, showing a marginal change in overall market performance.
