KARACHI – Gold prices in Pakistan dropped in local market of Pakistan on Saturday in line with decreasing global prices.
Data shared by All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Association showed per tola gold price plunged by Rs1,400 to settle at Rs347,200.
The rate of 10-gram gold decreased by Rs1,200 with new price settling at Rs297, 668.
The bullion rates also recorded losses as per ounce price in international market dipped by $14 to settle at $3,288.
On the other hand, silver prices in Pakistan also moved down as per tola and 10-gram rate plunged by Rs24 and Rs21 to reach Rs3,356 and Rs2,962, respectively.
Market analysts suggest that fluctuations in the global market and changes in currency exchange rates are influencing the local gold pricing trend.
