KARACHI – Gold prices in Pakistan moved up to an all-time high, with silver also reaching unprecedented levels.
The price of gold per tola jumped by Rs6,200 to Rs462,362 whereas 10-gram gold was sold for Rs396,400, marking an increase of Rs5,315, according to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association.

Internationally, gold prices increased by $62, reaching $4,400 per ounce, with an additional premium of $20. Meanwhile, silver prices also climbed, rising Rs218 to reach Rs7,205 per tola, setting a new record.
Globally, gold surpassed $4,400 per ounce for the first time on Monday, driven by expectations of further US interest rate cuts and strong safe-haven demand, with silver also reaching historic highs. Spot gold rose 1.7% to $4,411.01 per ounce as of 0822 GMT, after earlier hitting a record $4,420.01. Spot silver gained 2.5%, reaching $69.44.
