A murder case was registered against four accused persons two years after the murder was committed. According to the police, a man, Syed Muhammad Taqi Shah, on 13th September 2019 went for some routine work in his fields near village Kotli Khawaja, in the limits of the Sabzpir police station, but his body was found in the fields the next day, 14th September 2019, with an electric wire, warped around his wrists.

Four persons namely, Zeshan, Rizwan, Murid Hussain, and Muhammad Waqar, who allegedly had been with the deceased Taqi Shah, had then informed the police that electrocution and resultant cardiac arrest caused his death after which the deceased was buried in a graveyard near the above-said village. A few days after the burial, Syeda Zaib un Nisa, the wife of the deceased, lodged a complaint with the concerned police that his husband was murdered by four above mentioned persons.

The police started an investigation and then got the body of the deceased exhumed for the autopsy on 20th February 2020. The postmortem report revealed that strangulation was the cause of the death of Syed Taqi Shah.
