BAJAUR – Pakistan’s elite security forces gunned down five Indian-backed militants in Bajaur’s Khar area, but with ultimate price. Major Adil Zaman, leading from the front with unmatched bravery, was martyred in a fierce gun battle that showcased courage at its finest.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), intelligence had pinpointed the presence of militants affiliated with the Indian-proxy terrorist group Fitna-ul-Khawarij. The swift and deadly response by Pakistani forces left the terrorists neutralized and their weapons and ammunition seized.
Major Zaman, while orchestrating the operation from the frontline, confronted the militants head-on. His fearless leadership inspired his team even as bullets rained down, ultimately leading to his heroic martyrdom.
The slain militants were responsible for multiple attacks on security forces and innocent civilians, making this operation a crucial blow to foreign-sponsored terrorism in the region. Clearance operations are ongoing to root out remaining threats.
Funeral prayers for Major Zaman were held at Peshawar Garrison, attended by Army Chief and Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Interior Minister, Corps Commander Peshawar, top military and civilian officials, and countless citizens paying tribute to a true national hero.
Field Marshal Munir hailed Major Zaman’s sacrifice, declaring, “The martyrs of our Armed Forces are the pride of the nation. Their bravery fuels our resolve to eliminate terrorism from Pakistan forever.”
Major Adil Zaman will be laid to rest with full military honors in his hometown of Dera Ismail Khan, leaving behind a legacy of courage, sacrifice, and unwavering patriotism. Field Marshal Munir also visited CMH Peshawar to meet wounded soldiers, praising their courage and resilience in the face of deadly threats.
