Punjab Minister for Industry and Commerce, Mian Aslam Iqbal has said that the accelerating the development of industries holds key importance in resolution of the financial issues of the country.
He was chairing a meeting held here at Civil Secretariat on Wednesday during which the progress on the colonization of industrial estates was reviewed.
Mian Aslam Iqbal expressed displeasure over the slow pace of colonization and directed the PIEDMC and FIEDMC to expedite the process of colonization.
Both companies should set targets for the colonization of industrial estates and present them in the next meeting, he said.
He declared accelerating the pace of industrial development vital to get rid of the financial crises and said that he will visit industrial estates to check the on-ground situation of development works and colonization. He directed PIEDMC to write a letter to the department for the required funding.
The provincial minister remarked that Quaid-e-Azam Business Park should be completed by December 31, 2022, in all respects.
Chunian Aqua Business Park will be inaugurated in the first week of January while Bahawalpur and Muzaffargarh Industrial Zones will be inaugurated in February and March respectively, he added.
