Efforts of UNICEF in formulating birth, death registration rules laudable: Aslam


Punjab Minister of Commerce & Trade, Mian Muhammad Aslam Iqbal has appreciated the efforts of UNICEF in formulating the birth and death registration rules.

He was speaking at Divisional Dissemination activity of Birth and Death Registration Rules 2021 organized by the Local Government & Community Development Department Punjab with the support of UNICEF at MC Hall Samanabad Lahore on Thursday.

Mian Muhammad Aslam Iqbal expressed his views on the importance of Data of Vital Events as Birth and Death Registration and record provides guidance to the Government to devise effective trade policy and development.

Participants were made aware of the Rules. UNICEF representative shared that the objective of the formulation of Rules is to have uniform law for registration to achieve universal birth registration in Punjab.

The activity was attended by Director, Deputy Directors, ADLGs and Focal Person UC Secretary in Lahore Division.
