ISLAMABAD – An earthquake measuring 5.8 on the Richter scale struck Rawalpindi, Islamabad, and several other regions of Pakistan, including Gilgit and Hunza, causing panic among residents.
The tremors, which were felt across multiple cities, prompted people to rush out of buildings in fear.
According to reports, the epicenter of the earthquake was located in northwestern Kashmir, at a depth of 10 kilometers.
While no immediate reports of significant damage or casualties have been confirmed, authorities have urged citizens to remain cautious as aftershocks may follow.
