DUBAI – Dubai has officially approved its largest budget in history for the period 2026-2028, with a total allocation of AED 302.7 billion (USD 82.41 billion). This landmark budget underscores the emirate’s continued focus on economic growth and development.

According to reports from the UAE’s official news agency, Dubai’s revenue for the upcoming years is projected to rise by 5%, reaching AED 329.2 billion (USD 89.63 billion). This growth is expected to result in a surplus, reflecting the city’s robust economic performance.

In 2026, the government has estimated a total expenditure of AED 99.5 billion, with anticipated revenue of AED 107.7 billion during the same period.

A major portion of the budget would be directed toward infrastructure development, with 48% allocated to projects such as roads, bridges, and public transport systems. This emphasis on infrastructure highlights Dubai’s ongoing commitment to enhancing its urban landscape and maintaining its position as a global business hub.

In addition, the social sector will receive 28% of the budget, focusing on initiatives that improve the quality of life for residents and support the city’s growing population.
