Renowned Pakistani scientist and chemist Dr. Atta-ur-Rahman stated that in several scientific disciplines, Pakistan’s global ranking surpasses that of India.
Speaking at a seminar on “Sufism and Science” organized by the Azeemia Order and ICCBS, he emphasized that “God helps those who help themselves.”
He urged the nation to equip its younger generation with quality education in mathematics, physics, biology, genetics, and other scientific fields.
Dr. Atta-ur-Rahman also underscored the importance of adopting the exemplary life of the Prophet (PBUH), stressing that alongside academic excellence, the moral and ethical upbringing of youth is equally vital.
Head of the Azeemia Order, Dr. Waqar Yousuf Azeemi, stated at the seminar that the education and advancement of science must remain under the guidance of the Creator — that is, Divine revelation.
He said that both Sufis and scientists are striving to understand the signs of God.
He explained that the Azeemia Order believes that just as a spiritually devoted person seeks to understand the will, intention, and decree of God through spiritual knowledge, similarly, scientific research is also an effort to comprehend God’s will through material knowledge.
Dr. Waqar said that the integration of spiritual and material sciences can become a source of human welfare and survival of the planet.
Director of ICCBS, Dr. Muhammad Raza Shah, said in his address that institutions flourish when leadership is honest.
