Dipra Hosts Seminar At Pof Wah To Strengthen Pakistans Defence Industry

WAH CANTT – The Defence Industrial Production Regulatory Authority (DIPRA) organised a seminar at Pakistan Ordnance Factories (POF) Wah aimed at strengthening collaboration between the public and private sectors to accelerate the growth of Pakistan’s defence industry.

The event was attended by senior government officials, representatives of defence production organisations, private-sector companies, academic institutions and investors, who discussed strategies for enhancing the country’s defence manufacturing capabilities.

The seminar focused on promoting stronger public-private partnerships, encouraging investment and supporting the long-term development of Pakistan’s defence production sector.

Addressing the participants, the DIPRA Chairman highlighted the importance of technological innovation, indigenous manufacturing and closer cooperation between government institutions and private industry. He said building a competitive and self-reliant defence industrial base would enhance Pakistan’s defence exports while contributing to national economic growth.

The seminar also featured panel discussions on emerging opportunities in the global defence market, industrial collaboration and export potential. Participants exchanged views on improving the regulatory framework, facilitating investment and expanding the local production of defence equipment.

The discussions also explored ways to strengthen Pakistan’s position in the international defence market through innovation, improved industrial coordination and enhanced export competitiveness.

Concluding the seminar, the DIPRA chairman thanked all stakeholders for their participation and expressed confidence that the recommendations put forward during the event would help boost investment, strengthen public-private cooperation and increase Pakistan’s defence exports.
