Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar on Tuesday tasked the ministers with monitoring sugar prices in all divisions of the province and directed the line departments to submit a report about the stock situation and rates of sugar on daily basis.

The chief minister directed to ensure sufficient availability of sugar before and during the holy month of Ramazan.

Usman Buzdar asked the ministers and government officials to monitor sugar prices in districts.

No one will be allowed to exploit the poor strata, the CM asserted and vowed that protection of rights of the common man is the responsibility of the government.

The PTI government has the capacity and commitment to fulfil the responsibility of protecting the rights of the citizens, he added.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar said that due to the ongoing third corona wave, hospitals are facing an acute rush and the health system is facing a burden as the ratio of corona positive cases is touching a dangerous level in Lahore and 8 other cities of the province.

The chief minister appealed to the citizens to wear facemasks; stay in their homes and adopt social distancing because the situation can further deteriorate if a ban on wearing facemask is not made a regular habit.

The people should ensure to wear facemasks while going out and the situation could be normal if it is made a habit, the CM maintained.

The people should fully cooperate with the government because it does not want to adopt strict measures for protecting the lives of the people, concluded the CM.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Usman Buzdar sought an immediate report from the administration about a gas blast in a house at Barki Road.

He has also extended sympathies to the heirs over the death of four persons.

Meanwhile, Member Standing Committee on Health & MNA Dr Seemi Bukhari said that the Health Sector is the top priority of Prime Minister Imran Khan and the PTI Government.

She added that the common man is getting significant relief, especially in the corona epidemic as appropriate policy has been adopted to deal with the current situation.

She expressed these views during a visit to Lahore General Hospital and an inspection of the Vaccination Center there.

Principal PGMI Prof. Dr. Sardar Muhammad Al-freed Zafar, Director Research Lab Dr. Ghazala Rubi, Dr. Irfan Malik, Dr. Abdul Aziz, Fozia Manzoor, Nazia Mubarak and Saima Shaheen and others were present who briefed Dr. Seemi Bukhari regarding their respective departments.
