Raza Naqvi Attock
In alignment with the visionary initiative “Sathra Punjab” led by Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, Attock district is currently immersed in a relentless cleanliness campaign spanning both urban and rural areas. The district administration, under round-the-clock supervision, has pledged to continue these efforts until March 31st.
In adherence to the Clean Punjab campaign’s priorities, daily targets have been assigned to municipal bodies. The primary focus includes comprehensive cleaning and enhancement of sewage and drainage systems, as well as improving the overall cleanliness of streets and neighborhoods in both urban and rural sectors. The campaign also embraces environmentally friendly activities, emphasizing good sanitation practices and timely waste management.
District administration reports indicate that focal officers from municipal committees and the district council are diligently overseeing sanitation and waste management within their respective jurisdictions. Their role is pivotal in ensuring daily targets are met, contributing to a cleaner and healthier environment for residents. The ongoing campaign extends beyond just cleanliness; it also encompasses the improvement and maintenance of street lights in the district. This multi-faceted approach aims to uplift the overall living standards and civic amenities.
