In a move to boost the skills of Information Department officers, the Centre for International Strategic Studies Sindh (CISSS) is teaming up with the Sindh Information Department (SID) for a capacity-building workshop. During a recent meeting between Director General of Public Relations Muhammad Saleem Khan and a delegation from CISSS, discussions revolved around the pivotal role of the Information Department in disseminating government activities across various media platforms.
Led by Research Officer Ms. Safia Malik, the CISSS team visited the Information Department to explore avenues for collaboration and mutual benefit. CISSS team was received by Director General Public Relations (DGPR) Muhammad Saleem Khan. Director Information (Admin and Accounts) Muhammad Yousif Kabooro, Director Information (Press Information) Akhtar Surhio and Aleem Uddin Khan (Deputy Director Information).
Director Research Aftab Hussain briefed DGPR Muhammad Saleem Khan about CISSS’s objectives, vision, and ongoing research initiatives. Both parties agreed to collaborate on future projects, with CISSS committing to hold a capacity-building workshop focusing on strategic affairs and hybrid warfare challenges for SID officers. Additionally, CISSS pledged to contribute opinion pieces on national and global issues to SID’s official publications, fostering a greater understanding of critical topics. In return, SID assured full assistance to CISSS in publishing press releases, covering events, and disseminating opinion pieces. Meeting concluded with an exchange of souvenirs, symbolizing the strengthened partnership between CISSS and SID.
Both parties look forward to further collaboration after Eid, affirming their commitment to enhancing information dissemination and strategic analysis.
