Child marriages

Sazain Shakeel

More than 60 million girls from all over the world were forced into early marriages by their families of which 42% were from Pakistan. When a girl starts coming of age of growing up, her family sets her marriage to some aged man from the society to provide her a secure future, the innocence and cheerfulness of her perception of life changes. Her dreams, her childhood are gone for ever.
Some people in Pakistan and other Muslim countries try to defend child marriages on basis of religion. They are also considered socially acceptable for reasons of responsibility. If any human being has mind, he would never agree to this concept.
