Chairman HEC, Prof. Dr. Niaz Ahmad Akhtar, paid a visit to Bahria University Islamabad Campus on 9th September 2026 to review the university’s academic and institutional progress and engage with its leadership on key areas of higher education and development.
He was received by the Rector Bahria University, Vice Admiral Engr. Abid Hameed HI(M) and was briefed on Bahria University’s academic ecosystem, spanning its multiple campuses and disciplines, along with the university’s recent institutional initiatives in research, digital infrastructure, and student development.
Chairman HEC also visited Bahria University’s Centre of Excellence in Artificial Intelligence, where he was briefed on the centre’s research direction, its ongoing projects, and the role it plays in positioning the university at the forefront of AI-driven teaching, research, and industry collaboration.
