LAHORE – The University of Health Sciences (UHS) has announced the results of the first-semester examination of the four-year BS Nursing programme.
A total of 6,282 candidates from 79 public and private nursing institutions appeared in the examination, of whom 4,951 were declared successful and promoted to the next semester, while 1,115 candidates were promoted on probation.
The results showed strong performance by several nursing institutions. At Al-Aleem Institute of Nursing, Lahore, 126 out of 135 candidates passed, while Aligarh College of Nursing, Lahore, recorded 46 successful candidates out of 48.
At the College of Nursing, D.G. Khan Medical College, 180 out of 190 candidates were promoted. The College of Nursing, Allama Iqbal Medical College, Lahore, had 161 successful candidates out of 170, while College of Nursing, Services Institute of Medical Sciences, Lahore, recorded 167 successful candidates out of 181.
Similarly, College of Nursing, Quaid-e-Azam Medical College, Bahawalpur, had 168 successful candidates out of 182.
At the College of Nursing, DHQ Hospital Vehari, 93 out of 95 candidates passed, while 82 out of 83 candidates at the College of Nursing, DHQ Hospital Kasur, were promoted. At the College of Nursing, DHQ Hospital Khanewal, 87 out of 96 candidates were successful.
All 19 candidates appearing from the School of Nursing, Nancy Fulwood Hospital, Sahiwal, were declared successful. Meanwhile, 34 out of 35 candidates at the Shaukat Khanum Institute of Health Sciences, Lahore, and 46 out of 49 candidates at the PKLI Institute of Nursing and Allied Health Sciences, Lahore, were promoted.
The results also showed that some institutions had a relatively high number of candidates promoted on probation. At the College of Nursing, Niazi Medical & Dental College, Sargodha, 97 out of 184 candidates were promoted, while 87 were promoted on probation. At Saida Waheed FMH College of Nursing, Lahore, 142 out of 194 candidates were promoted and 52 were promoted on probation.
