KARACHI – British Council and the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan (ICAP) have announced a partnership to enhance English language proficiency and communication skills for students pursuing the Chartered Accountancy qualification.
Under the collaboration, ICAP students will take their English assessments through Aptis, the British Council’s internationally recognised testing system aligned with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). The move ensures that ICAP’s language standards meet global benchmarks, preparing students for success in a competitive and interconnected professional world.
Amanda Ingram, Exams Director at British Council Pakistan, said the partnership reflects a shared commitment to “equipping future finance professionals with the communication skills, confidence, and global outlook needed to excel internationally.”
Omair Jamal, Secretary & COO of ICAP, highlighted that the initiative will help students develop the “clarity, confidence, and competence” necessary to thrive in diverse business environments.
The collaboration reinforces both institutions’ dedication to fostering professional excellence, international standards, and skills development across Pakistan’s education and business sectors.
