Behbood Savings Certificates new profit rate for Pakistani investors in 2026

ISLAMABAD – The Central Directorate of National Savings has announced revised profit rate for Behbood Savings Certificates, taking effect from January 2026.

The federal government launched the Behbood Certificates in 2003 keeping in view the difficulties faced by widows and the elderly as it offers monthly handsome profit on investment.

These certificates are regarded as one of the most appealing investment options for this demographic in Pakistan, as they provide monthly returns.

In 2004, the program was expanded to include disabled individuals and special-needs minors, allowing their guardians to manage the investment on their behalf.

Behbood Certificates Denominations

The Behbood Savings Certificates are available in the denominations of Rs5, 000, Rs10,000, Rs50,000, Rs 100,000, Rs500,000 and Rs1,000,000.

Who Can Buy Behbood Savings Certificates?

According to the official website, the certificates can be purchased by any of the following citizens of Pakistan, namely:

(a)A senior citizen aged sixty years or above

(b)A single widow as long as she does not re-marry

(c)Two eligible persons as in clause (a) and (b) in their joint names

(d) Disables holding NIC with Disability logo, and special minor through a Guardian.

Investment Limit

A single person can make a maximum investment of Rs7.5 million while the joint investors can make an investment of Rs15 million.
