Babar Azam Surpasses Virat Kohli To Secure Most 50 Plus Scores In T20is

Star batter Babar Azam has achieved another milestone in the T20I series decider against South Africa at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium on Saturday.

During his match-winning knock of 68 off 47 balls, which earned him the Player of the Match award, he surpassed India’s Virat Kohli in securing the most fifty-plus scores in the shortest format of the game.

Now, Babar Azam has 40 fifty-plus scores in T20Is (three hundreds and 37 fifties), followed by Virat Kohli, who has made 50 runs or more on 39 occasions (One hundred and 38 fifties). India’s Rohit Sharma is in the third spot with 37 fifty-plus scores (Five hundred and 32 fifties), followed by Pakistan wicketkeeper-batter Mohammad Rizwan, who made fifty-plus scores on 31 occasions (One hundred and 30 fifties).

Babar Azam is the leading run-scorer in T20Is with 4,302 runs in 124 innings at an average of 39.83 and a strike rate of around 129. He also has the distinction of hitting the most fours (457) in the T20I format, followed by Ireland’s Paul Stirling (430) and India’s Rohit Sharma (383).
