Azad underscores scholars role in fight against coronavirus

Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad, Khateeb and Imam of Badshahi Masjid Lahore and Chairman Central Ruyat-e-Hilal Committee of Pakistan on Friday appealed to the nation to make collective repentance and Istighfar to Allah the Almighty to get deliverance from the third wave of coronavirus, which is more dangerous than previous two.

Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad stressed that the whole nation should collectively repent and seek forgiveness and return to Allah and fully abide by the SOPs issued by the government. The use of masks is very important, he said.

It is the responsibility of the government of Pakistan to take timely steps to help prevent the spread of corona.

Maulana Azad said that the steps taken by the government are highly commendable. He said that the Ulema should promote awareness campaign against Karuna and cooperate with the government in controlling Karuna.

He appealed to the SOPs to abide by the SOPs. He termed the coronation control measures of the national institutions as effective and prayed for the strengthening of Pakistan’s armed forces, national stability and prosperity of the Islamic world.
