MUZAFFARABAD – Vote count continues in two of Muzaffarabad’s most closely watched constituencies, as the polling held today due to massive rains last Sunday.
As per latest unofficial results Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party (IPP) is leading in LA-27, while Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) holds upper hand in LA-28, setting stage for a tense finish as the remaining polling stations are counted.

IPP candidate Sardar Tabarak has taken a commanding lead in LA-27 Muzaffarabad. Results from 105 of the 197 polling stations show him securing 13,352 votes, placing him well ahead of his rivals.
The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) candidate Noreen Arif is running second with 9,362 votes, while PPP’s Sardar Javed trails in third place after receiving 8,160 votes.
In LA-28 Muzaffarabad, the contest remains fiercely competitive, with PPP candidate Bazil Naqvi narrowly holding on to his lead. Based on results from 146 out of 174 polling stations, Naqvi has secured 24,219 votes, while PML-N’s Chaudhry Shehzad is close behind with 23,734 votes, leaving a margin of just 485 votes as the remaining polling stations could still influence the outcome.
Election Commission of Azad Jammu and Kashmir has clarified that these figures are preliminary and unofficial, and the official results will be announced only after vote counts from all polling stations are received and consolidated.
