KARACHI – The Sindh government has announced two public holidays on the 9th and 10th of Muharram on account of Ashura.
The holidays will be observed on June 25 and 26 as Muslims across the world, including Pakistan, will pay tribute to Hazrat Imam Hussain and his companions.
The Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony announced that the holy month of Muharram-ul-Haram, marking the beginning of the Islamic New Year 1448 AH, commenced on June 14.
