ISLAMABAD – TV show host Ashfaque Ishaq Satti sent a defamation notice to famous news anchor Rabia Anum over the latter’s social media ranting related to domestic violence.
Satti, who is facing a police complaint over the allegation of assaulting his third wife Nomaika, shared an update on the recent controversy as he sent a legal notice to fellow journalist Rabia Anum for defamation on social media.
The morning show host came under fire as Nomaika shared pictures of physical assault, and a social media campaign was started against the TV show host, as people called for his boycott.
The legal notice said “Rabia Anum’s social media account is found to be associated and is involved in defaming my Client. In your recent posts dated 29-01-2024 & 30-01-2024 you have published baseless, frivolous and perverse story of alleged torture & murder attempts by my Client of his wife.”
It said You [Rabia] in your recent posts have made libelous statements and allegations of a heinous nature thereby also assassinating the character of my Client in order to achieve easy fame through social media.You have tried to promote hatred against my Client and have created unjust atmosphere against my Client.
It said Rabia’s social media post tarnished his reputation which would amongst other things be understood by readers, listeners and viewers. It said you attempted to show that my Client is an extremely bad reputed media person who used to encourage domestic violence. This allegation is not only false but also shows obnoxious bent of mind and prejudice against my Client.

Amid the controversy, Ashfaq said Rabia Anum would be responsible for his death if he commits suicide while receiving hate from prominent personalities and fellow workers.
Rabia was quick to respond to Ashfaq’s post and she replied with sarcastic tone.‘Oooo I’m so scared’, Rabia said.
In previous development, Satti claimed to have on-screen seat after years of hard work in media industry. He commended the love received from people but looked in down spirits after being suspended from ARY News.
