ISLAMABAD – The federal government on Monday appointed Ashfaq Ahmad Khalil, a BS-21 officer of the Information Group, as the Federal Secretary for Information and Broadcasting.
The Cabinet Secretariat’s Establishment Division issued a notification confirming Khalil’s appointment to the position of Secretary for Information and Broadcasting.
Prior to this appointment, he served as additional secretary, Information and Broadcasting Division.
The federal government has made the appointment was made under Section 10 of the Civil Servants Act, 1973, the notification added.
What the Notification Says?
“Mr. Ashfaq Ahmad Khalil, a BS-21 officer of Information Group, presently posted as Additional Secretary, Information and Broadcasting Division, on deputation basis, is transferred and posted as Secretary, Information and Broadcasting Division under Section 10 of the Civil Servants Act, 1973, with immediate effect and until further orders,” read the notification.
