On wednesday Tehsil Alliance committees meeting for Tehsil Wana and Toi Khullah was conducted at DHO office conference hall under the chairmanship and supervision of Additional Deputy Commissioner Mr. Kashmir Khan F& P SWL. The event was participated by NSTOP Officer, Tehsil Mayor wana, Tehsildars and tribal Maliks/elders from both Tehsils.
The objective of the event was to establish alliance committees at Tehsil level under the supervision of district administration for polio boycotts engagement and resolution through Jirga of tribal elders/Maliks. The event was started with the recitation of the Holy Quran by Tehsil Mayor wana and he welcomed all the participants in his opening remarks. The NSTOP Officer Dr Bilal addressed the forum by highlighting the importance of routine immunization and polio vaccination for every child. He further requested the tribal Maliks to extend support to the field team to ensure that every child is vaccinated in the upcoming NID campaign commencing from October 9, 2023.
Hussain Ali Awan Deputy Provincial Manager PCE also addressed the forum and highlighted the objective of the event and alliances at every Tehsil. These committees will work under the supervision of administration to engage and resolve if any boycott is reported and to delink any other demands from polio vaccination.
A number of tribal Maliks and elders also addressed the forum and highlighted some issues and concerns pertaining to health, education, livestock vaccination.
