KARACHI – A passenger, Qudratullah, missed his flight from Karachi to Jeddah after the boarding staff of Airblue accidentally tore his passport during the ticket confirmation process.
Qudratullah was set to travel on Airblue flight PA 170 to Jeddah for work with a group, but due to the passport being torn, he was unable to board the flight.
The incident occurred at the Jinnah International Airport’s counter, where the passport was likely torn during routine checks. As a result, the flight departed without Qudratullah, leaving him behind at the airport.

A torn passport is not valid for international travel, and Qudratullah will now need to obtain a new passport to continue his journey to Saudi Arabia.
The passenger protested the incident, highlighting the inconvenience caused by the airline’s error.
Earlier this month, Air Blue came under fire for delaying multiple flights at Dubai and Sharjah airports to two consecutive days, leaving passengers in limbo.
