Administrator Karachi Laiq Ahmed has said that steps should be taken to make Karachi Medical and Dental College (KMDC) a medical university.Financial and administrative matters in the college should be rectified and the departments of College of Nursing and Dental should be activated.
He was presiding over a meeting on Karachi Medical and Dental College on Thursday. College Principal Prof. Nargis Anjum, Vice Principal Dr. Aqeel Sheikh, Prof. Farhat Jafri, Director Accounts Javed Qaiser and other officers were also present on the occasion.
Laiq Ahmed said that it was very important to improve financial management in order to run any organization well, while only through systematic and strict discipline can one benefit from the fruits of an organization.
“This is very important because the future Messiah is studying in the college and in the future the graduates will serve in the medical field so their better education as well as training process should continue,” he said.
He said that medical education is a very important field.“After the Almighty, human lives are in the hands of our Messiahs. If these students are given better educational opportunities, then of course the best doctors will be born,” he said.
The administrator said that the best medical institution in Karachi should be established. He said that the academic year of the newly admitted students is starting at the end of this month, so from now on, efforts should be made to make these students better under the supervision of college professors and doctors.
The administrator directed the Principal Karachi Medical and Dental College (KMDC) to convene a meeting of the governing body of the college and resolve pending issues immediately.
