ISLAMABAD – The Central Directorate of National Savings (CDNS) has revised profit rates of for Behbood Savings Certificates effect from October 2026.
The federal government launched the Behbood certificates in 2003 in response to the difficulties faced by widows and the elderly. The scheme has been extended to disabled persons and special minors with disability through their guardians.
The certificate is available in the denominations of: Rs5, 000, Rs10,000, Rs50,000, Rs100,000, Rs500,000 and Rs1,000,000.
Profit is paid on monthly basis started from the date of purchase of the certificates.
Investment Limit
A person can made minimum investment of Rs5,000 in Behbood certificates while the maximum limit for individual person stands at Rs7500,000.
Behbood Certificates Profit Rates October 2026
The federal government has increased the profit rate for Behbood Certificate by 12bps, taking to 12.72 percent. It means an investors will receive Rs1,060 in wake of profit on investment of Rs100,000 each.
Tax, Zakat Deduction
Withholding tax is not collected on the profit earned on BSCs. Investments made in the BSC are also exempted from Zakat collection.
