Senate Chairman, Governor and business, diplomat fraternity gathered at Malik family wedding
Prominent political leaders, senior government officials, diplomats, business executives, media representatives and distinguished personalities from various walks of life attended the wedding reception of Ebraheem Faisal Malik, son of Pakistan Observer Chairman and Editor-In-Chief Faisal Zahid Malik, in Karachi. The Nikah was solemnised by Maulana Azad Jameel.
The reception brought together an array of notable guests, including Senate Chairman Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani, Governor Sindh Syed Nehal Hashmi, former Sindh chief minister Justice (retired) Syed Ghous Ali Shah and Rear Admiral Salman Ilyas, Managing Director of Karachi Shipyard and Engineering Works. The gathering reflected the family’s longstanding connections with political, diplomatic, business and media circles, with prominent figures exchanging greetings and extending their congratulations to the newlyweds and their families. Among the distinguished guests were Sindh Governor’s adviser Dr. Syed Saifur Rahman, Bahrain’s Consul General Abdullah Ahmed Buqahoos, Iranian Consul General Akbar Eissazadeh, Yemen’s Honorary Consul General Mirza Ikhtiar Baig and Morocco’s Honorary Consul General Mirza Ishtiaq Baig, Ethiopia’s Honorary Consul General Shaikh Ibraheem Tawab and Ivory Coast’s Consul General Fazal Karim Dadabhoy also attended the reception. The media fraternity was represented by Senator Syed Sarmad Ali, president of the All Pakistan Newspapers Society (APNS), along with senior journalists and media figures, including Kazi Asad Abid, Ghazi Salahuddin and Mubashir Mir. The elite business community also turned out in considerable numbers,with prominent industrialists and corporate leaders, including Khalid Tawab, Akram Wali Muhammad, Zeeshan Altaf Lohya, Khalil Nanitalwala, Junaid Naqi, Kaleem Farooqui, Haji Masood Parekh, Zeeshan Saleem Zaki and Ahsan Mehanti, among those attending.
Other notable guests included Hamdard Chairperson Sadia Rashid, senior banker Sirajuddin Aziz, renowned businessman and senior politician Member National Assembly Mirza Ikhtiar Baig, Javed Iqbal, Babar Abbasi, Asad Alam Niazi, Amjad Rana, Junaidur Rahman, Imran Tessori and Akhtar Khan Toori.
Former cricketer Shoaib Mohammad, religious scholar Maulana Azad Jameel and several other distinguished personalities from Karachi’s social, professional and cultural circles also attended.
