NISSHIN – Rain has washed out all four quarter-final matches in the men’s cricket category at the Asian Games 2026, sending Pakistan, India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh into the semi-finals based on their rankings.
The third quarter-final, scheduled between Nepal and Sri Lanka, and the fourth match between Bangladesh and Malaysia could not begin because of persistent rain in Nisshin.
The previous day also saw the quarter-finals between Pakistan and Hong Kong and India and Afghanistan abandoned due to rain. Pakistan and India progressed to the last four on the basis of their higher rankings.
Semi-Finals Schedule
The two semi-finals are scheduled to take place in Nishin on October 1.
Pakistan will meet Bangladesh in the first semi-final at 5am Pakistan Standard Time, while India will face Sri Lanka in the second semi-final at 10am at the same venue.
