Sp Islamabad Adeel Akbar Ends Life By Shooting Himself After Suspected Phone Call

ISLAMABAD – A shocking incident reported from capital city Islamabad where SP Adil Akbar of Industrial Area I-9 took his own life late Wednesday. According to initial reports, SP Adil Akbar was listening to a phone call when and he took his service pistol from a guard and shot himself in the chest.

The cop was rushed to PIMS Hospital in critical condition but succumbed to his injuries during treatment. The news of the SP’s suicide spread quickly, causing panic among both police personnel and the general public.

A heavy police presence has been deployed outside PIMS Hospital. Islamabad Police Inspector General Ali Nasir personally visited the hospital and remained there throughout, obtaining details from the doctors and overseeing postmortem arrangements.

Investigations are underway to determine who made the final phone call to SP Adil Akbar and what was discussed. SP’s mobile phone data has been retrieved, and the phone operator on duty with him has been taken into custody for questioning. The gunman and other officers present at the scene have also been detained for further investigation.

SP Adil Akbar, a 46 Common Batch officer, had previously served in Balochistan and hailed from Kamonki, Gujranwala. Police sources say high-level investigations, including analysis of the last call’s voice recording, are ongoing, and details are expected within 24 hours.

The sudden death of the young officer has left the Islamabad police force and the city in shock, raising questions about the circumstances leading to the tragedy.
