Governor Sindh Kamran Khan Tessori announced that financial aid worth Rs. 40 million has been distributed to deserving individuals through initiatives led by Governor House. Speaking at a ceremony held at Governor House, where cheques were handed to recipients, he reaffirmed his commitment to public service and welfare.

The beneficiaries, who had applied for assistance through the “Umeed Ki Ghanti” installed at Gate No. 1 of Governor House, sought support for various needs, including daughters’ weddings, small businesses, and children’s education.

Welcoming the attendees, Governor Tessori expressed his dedication to assisting the underprivileged. During the event, cheques were distributed to 82 individuals, with amounts ranging between Rs. 20,000 and Rs. 100,000. Governor Tessori highlighted that Rs. 40 million in financial aid has been distributed this year.

He also mentioned that more than 850,000 ration bags have been provided to families in need, with Governor House welcoming over 3.5 million visitors since opening its doors to the public. Governor Tessori shared progress on the IT courses initiated at Governor House, where enrolled students are now earning between $600 and $1,000. Plans are underway to expand these courses to Hyderabad and Sukkur, targeting an additional 50,000 students.

A new program will also be launched at Islamabad Press Club in response to their request, enabling wider access to IT education.

Acknowledging the success of young athletes, Governor Tessori awarded Rs. 1 million and motorcycles to silver medalists from the Under-15 Football Championship held in Norway. Commenting on Pakistan’s economic challenges, Governor Tessori stressed the need to strengthen the economic system to eradicate poverty.

“We must ensure a future where no one remains impoverished,” he said, commending the efforts of the Army Chief and the government for their dedication to national prosperity. In response to a media question, he concluded, “The future must not belong to individuals but to Pakistan as a united and strong nation.”
