ISLAMABAD – The federal government is likely to change the petrol and diesel prices in Pakistan in upcoming fortnightly review for December 2024.
The government will announce the revision in petroleum prices on November 30 night while the new rates will come into effect from December 1 to 15.
Reports suggest that the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) is expected to recommend an increase in petrol prices for next month as global prices have witnessed upward trend in recent days.
Expected Increase in Petrol Prices
As per reports, the government is expected to revise up the petrol prices by Rs10 to Rs15 per litre for the first fortnight of December 2024 in line with rise in global prices.
The final decision about the increase in petrol prices will be made the the federal government after reviewing the various factors including available stock, revenue generations and international prices.
Current Petrol Prices in Pakistan
The current petrol price stands at Rs248.38 per litre in Pakistan for November 2024 while the price of high speed diesel stands at Rs255.14.
