Pak Army Chief Vows To Wipe Out Menace Of Terrorism After Quetta Railway Station Bombing

QUETTA – Chief of Army Staff General Asim Munir vowed to continue fight against terrorists and eliminate the menace as Balochistan capital saw suicide attack that killed over two dozen people including armed forces personnel.

ISPR shared a statement, as Namaz-e-Janaza was offered today at Quetta Garrison for the martyrs who lost their lives in the suicide bombing at Quetta Railway Station.

The funeral was attended by senior officials, including COAS General Syed Asim Munir, Federal Minister for Interior, Governor Balochistan, Chief Minister Balochistan, provincial ministers, and a large number of military and civilian personnel.

After the ceremony, Gen Asim Munir visited the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in Quetta to meet with those injured in the attack. COAS strongly condemned the act of terrorism and emphasized that such attacks would never be tolerated.

“Pakistan remains fully committed to eradicating terrorism,” said General Munir. “This fight will continue with full national resolve and collective determination. We will not rest until terrorism is wiped out from our land,” he added.

COAS also underscored the importance of a united front, calling for the steadfast support of all Pakistanis, alongside the efforts of military and civilian institutions, to ensure the country’s security and long-term peace. Upon his arrival in Quetta, General Munir was received by the Commander of Balochistan Corps, the military’s media wing said.

Quetta Railway Station bombing once again highlighted ongoing threat of terrorism in the region, with top civil-military authorities pledging continued vigilance and a strong response to such acts of violence.
