Pak Army Captain martyred during exchange of fire with terrorists in Waziristan: ISPR

RAWALPINDI – A Pakistan Army captain has been martyred in a gun battle with militants in North Waziristan, the Army’s media wing said.

A statement issued by Inter-Services Public Relations said Army captain Osama bin Arshad has been martyred in an exchange of fire with terrorists in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s North Waziristan district on Tuesday.

The martyred officer was 24-year-old who hailed from Rawalpindi district. Army forces exchanged fire with terrorists and two insurgent were killed during the fierce engagement.

Army then conducted sanitisation operation to eliminate further militants in region.

“Security forces of Pakistan are determined to eliminate the menace of terrorism from the country and such sacrifices of our brave soldiers further strengthen our resolve.”
