Following the directives of mayor Barrister MurtazaWahab, the Karachi Water and Sewerage Corporation (KW&SC) has installed cool water points across various locations in the city, including all public hydrants, to provide cold beverages and chilled water.

The initiative aims to safeguard citizens during the intense heatwave, according to COO KW&SC. Engineer Asadullah Khan, overseeing the implementation, highlighted the installation’s purpose to ensure citizens’ safety amidst the harsh weather conditions.

The initiative underscores the city’s proactive approach to mitigate the effects of the heatwave and raise awareness among residents about heatwave precautions.

Executive Hydrants Cell Allah Baksh Bhutto and Focal Person for Hydrants Cell Shehbaz Bashir personally supervise the maintenance of all installed points, ensuring continuous functionality and service availability.
